Husband
edit...her husband Bill Conlon.
Are they still married? There is no mention of any husband in the Info Box, as would be usual. Valetude (talk) 23:59, 25 January 2022 (UTC)

It seems likely several readers will come to this article because they are looking for "the Sue Gray report" and unsure of the name of the article on this topic (Partygate, which was until yesterday Westminster lockdown parties controversy). It would be useful for readers to have a link to Partygate in the lead of this article, and it is also a significant part of the article that deserves summary in the lead. I made an edit to this effect yesterday but it was reverted. --LukeSurl t c 09:41, 1 February 2022 (UTC)
Article title
editShe is no longer a civil servant - she works for the Labour Party. Admittedly, she became notable when she was a civil servant - but, should the article title now be changed? Perhaps to something like Sue Gray (political adviser)? Ghmyrtle (talk) 18:34, 13 December 2023 (UTC)

Political party in infobox
editI've removed the mention of her purported personal political affiliation from the infobox. I could be wrong, but I've not seen anything to confirm her personal political views, and in the UK there is no good reason to assume that she shares the same political views as those of her employer. Opening paragraph
editAn IP is attempting to add words to the opening paragraph "...Her report into the Partygate scandal, written while she held secret talks with the Labour Leader Sir Keir Starmer..." This is covered in the article text, but it seems to be undue weight to refer to it in the opening paragraph, and an attempt to disparage the (living) subject. "...joined the Labour Party..."
editThere is a mention of her having "joined the Labour Party" in 2023, referenced to this source, which says that she "formally joined Labour" at that time. But that is vague - I would assume that there is a significant difference between her being employed by the Labour Party, and being a member of the Labour Party. I don't think we know whether she was a member of the Labour Party before 2023, or whether she is a member now. Do we know that for certain, or is that an interpretation of imprecise wording being made by the editor here? Ghmyrtle (talk) 16:29, 19 July 2024 (UTC)
