Talk:Subdermal implant

what layer of skin does it sit between? - Omegatron 16:03, Jun 11, 2005 (UTC)

The page launches into some weird Church thing. Not relevant, and not explained what this Church is or why it matters. Looks like an ad for a website. Needs review.

The 'Church' is the Church of Body Modificaiton (literally.) They claim to be an interfaith organization who believe that body modification, as it appears in many.. "Less than mainstream" societies and religions (Sorry, i couldtn think of any other way to denote that it is common practice among some faiths, but not among any of the larger faiths, at least not from their main orthodoxy. Feel free to fix this wording,) is a necessary or important part of spirituality.
The implant itself is usually in the Dermis. If one were to put it in any layer of the epidermis it would not be viable, the top two layers being mainly dead and the bottom most layer being only a couple cells thick. If one were to put it lower, it would be in your adipose (subcutaneous) tissue, which is basically fat and macrophages. This is not a wise thing to do. If you need more detail, any of the words I pointed out will have extensive documentation on wikipedia, in their respective articles. 74.132.249.206 (talk) 00:42, 10 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
