History - Timeline removal?

Does the section on "History" really belong in this article? If that information is really useful, it seems better in a paragraph summary form. My own opinion is that it should be removed altogether, or at least, significantly shortened to only have the key information. ChunyangD (talk) 13:50, 1 November 2016 (UTC)
