MakerSupport Controversy

Should the way that Stripe has decided to involve itsself in the youtube/sjw drama be included? They shutdown makersupport and are currently keeping any donations made as if they were a spoil of war. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mavrick (talkcontribs) 14:11, 6 May 2018 (UTC)

Revenue figure

I removed the "revenue" section from the info box as the "$1.5 billion" figure was not sourced, and everything that I could find online that seemed to point to this was an analyst's guess at the company's revenue, e.g. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/features/2017-08-01/how-two-brothers-turned-seven-lines-of-code-into-a-9-2-billion-startup

I think it could be plausible to include this information in the body of the article, where more context can be given, along the lines of "Stripe has never disclosed revenue figures, but in 2017 analysts estimated revenue to be around $1.5 billion", but being in the infobox without context seems to suggest that number is more of an established fact, when it is not. Stripe NOT "integrated with TalentLMS"

"In October 2013 one of the leading Learning Management Systems, TalentLMS has been integrated with Stripe, supplementing PayPal as a means of payment."

This seems suggests that the two businesses Stripe and TalentLMS have somehow amalgamated. The statement appears to have been drawn from the linked company blog post, which, so far as I can tell, only announces that TalentLMS has implemented an "integration" using the Stripe API, and is thus able to accept payments through Stripe. So TalentLMS simply started to use the services of Stripe.

Since having customers like this is Stripe's normal business, this hardly seems noteworthy enough to mention specially. Gwideman (talk) 23:33, 30 November 2015 (UTC)
