NIMBY
editDo we really need, in a world wide encyclopedia, to provide a soap-box for a local planning issue? Motmit (talk) 17:10, 5 February 2010 (UTC)
- I would say no. No we don't. I have been bold in the past and removed it but it came back. Granted I did indicate to the editor involved that whilst I think a minor planning dispute is of little note and does not deserve wiki space, it was something I was not prepared to edit war over. S/he perhaps took this to be an endorsement of the content. It was not. Nancy talk 17:23, 5 February 2010 (UTC)
Church image
editI have added a new image to commons of the church interior.
but have erred in naming it. Could someone who understands how, rename it more appropriately and if considered suitable add it to the article. I prefer not to add my own images and in this instance one image of the exterior is probably enough and it could wait until there is an article on the church.SovalValtos (talk) 17:27, 23 February 2018 (UTC)
- @SovalValtos: Is this St Mary's, Streatley? Murgatroyd49 (talk) 18:03, 4 November 2020 (UTC)
- @SovalValtos: Did you find your answer? If not just click on the More button on the image page, select Move and fill in the form that appears and someone will sort it for you. Murgatroyd49 (talk) 10:15, 8 November 2020 (UTC)
- I researched this a few days ago Murgatroyd49 and I thought I had answered. Obviously not. I am pre-occupied in real life. I am confident it was the church in Streatley, not one in Goring. I have now tried to request a rename in commons; the first time I have tried the process so I hope correctly. Thank you for your guidance. Looking at the article there is not much text on the church to illustrate so I will still leave it to others to decide whether my photo should be in the article.SovalValtos (talk) 19:01, 8 November 2020 (UTC)
