Avoiding partisan edit wars edit

I have now undone changes made by LordAshcroft2010to the history section twice. These made claims that the Conservative are now the potential challengers to the incumbent Labour party.

By all means calculate a notional swing required for the Tories to take this seat from third place, but please do so by adding this in the next general election section, without deleting all reference to the party currently in second place, and certainly not by rewriting history.

The percentage change figures in the 2005 result box also look to be incorrect as a result of a much older edit. Could a disinterested psephologist take a look at them, please.

I have undone a series of changes by Melrose 8765. Simply because the incumbent MP has used Parliamentary privilege to make assertions about one of his opponents "on the record" does not turn these assertions into encyclopaedic facts. --Lang rabbie 00:12, 6 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Boundary changes edit

I dont quite believe this, under "History": The 1918 boundaries of the Streatham constituency remained unchanged until changes to Greater London local government in the 1960s were reflected in the constituency boundaries fought at the 1970 election. The February 1974 election seems more likely as when new boundaries became effective. (Changes had been decided in Parliament in 1971. I imagine the Boundary Bommission recommendations were made in 1970, perhaps before the 1970 election.)
Also I see a reference to boundary changes under "Boundaries” but no date given for these changes.

I have now altered the article, in line with observations above. Laurel Bush 09:45, 29 April 2006 (UTC).Reply

Accuracy of editing edit

Can someone check the editing that was done on the 7th Oct 2005. There is an election about to be held in this constituency on 20th October 2005 and I would not like anybody to be misled.
