Germany

edit

I just found evidence on the German wiki that there is a 4th death in North Rhine Westphalia State. And I suggest adding more details of the event into the wikipedia using the German Language sources I am going to provide here. Power cuts

edit

I’m unsure about the total number for power cuts for the UK, but this tweet (https://twitter.com/kwasikwarteng/status/1495035855999844353?s=21) would suggest that there were around 1.39 million cuts. Grey13z (talk) 15:44, 19 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

I’m not sure how trustworthy someone’s tweet is, so it’s better to stick to the information of a trustworthy website or news channel. Egghead2000 (talk) 23:06, 5 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

I’m going to add: https://twitter.com/kwasikwarteng/status/1495035855999844353?s=21 to the article. It looks trustworthy. Egghead2000 (talk) 19:49, 6 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

Category:2022 disasters in...

edit

Currently, the article is listed in Category:2022 disasters in Europe and Category:2022 disasters in the United Kingdom., whic is a subcat of the Europe one.

As the event didn't just affect the UK, but did not affect the whole of Europe, I suggest that the Europe category is removed, and individual categories for each country affected are added. Mjroots (talk) 16:46, 20 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

The problem with that is the non-existence of 2022 disaster cats for all the countries affected other than the UK. Some of those countries have 2020s disasters in country cats - for example Germany. Some of the affected countries - such as Poland - don't even have that. Jim Michael (talk) 17:25, 20 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
@Jim Michael: - it's easy enough to create new categories. Mjroots (talk) 17:37, 20 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
Some of them - such as 2022 disasters in Lithuania - wouldn't be justified because they'd always be underpopulated. Jim Michael (talk) 18:00, 20 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
Category:2022 disasters in Europe should suffice. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 21:23, 20 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
I think we should add subcats if possible, after all this storm didn't affect the entire continent of Europe. This is Paul (talk) 21:43, 20 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

Are the gusts at impact?

edit

Are the highest gusts perc country at the “Impact” section of the article? Because then I can remove the list I added. Then it spares some research time, and don’t forget the sources ;) 2A02:A44C:6682:1:C1D9:F86C:24B0:4741 (talk) 00:39, 5 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

I would say put the highest gusts in the repective sections for that country if it hasn't already been mentioned. However, if you don't add sources I'll have to remove them! greyzxq talk 00:45, 5 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
