  • "I'm the boss, I'm the gaffer!"

Let's hope he gets the axe after this spectacle.

I feel sorry for him, really. He's not a bad person, and all the good he's done over the years has been erased. Regarding the article, I'm no advocate of vandalism by any means, but this has to be one of the funniest edits I've ever seen on Wikipedia! NaLaochra (U|T) 14:01, 8 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Recommend locking this page to protect against vandalism. -- Ghostreveries 16:08, 8 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

I fail to understand why this page is protected - Staunton may be unpopular, but this is due to his spectacular ineptitude. Is this part of a policy where anyone else who can't do their job properly gets their Wikipedia page locked?

It's merely to prevent libellous material from getting out and to give the moderators a bit of a break from constantly reverting to previously unvandalised versions. -- Ghostreveries 09:10, 9 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

i would like to point out that vulgar abuse is not in any shape or form libelous. even if it is right on the money. brush up on your law ghostreveries.

I've just deleted idiotic and abusive comments from his page. Lock this page, I STRONGLY reccomend that.

Steve Staunton must be really embarassed with the pathetic job he has done. He should never have been given the job. Personally I think Delaney wanted a yes man. That's exactle what he got with Staunton. Staunton is not intelligent or strong enough to stand up to the FAI and their shambolic culture. He makes Forest Gump look intelligent in his interviews. —Preceding unsigned comment added by DaphniaSupa (talkcontribs) 16:24, 21 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Career Missing edit

Half of The Liverpool part of Staunton's career has gone missing in an edit somewhere. I remember someone just deleted his whole career and replaced it with some rubbish so it probably got lost then. I'm a bit of a novice and retrieving stuff like that so could someone else give it a shot

Fair use rationale for Image:RTÉ Sport 0091.jpg edit

Image:RTÉ Sport 0091.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
