Article title and disambig edit

As there is another person by the same name, disambiguation is required, the only question is how. My feeling is that unless the person by that name is extremely notable, then the primary page (Steve Sidwell in this case) should be a disambiguation page. If done, that means that if another Steve Sidwell is found that's just as, or more notable than this one, nothing has to be changed. (whereas it would if left like this, and might take longer to fix then) So, now that the history is fixed, I propose to move this to Steve Sidwell (footballer) and have this as a disambiguation page. (This would be just like the Tony Adams page, and he's a very notable player, so it's not unusual) Also, glancing though Category:Lists of ambiguous human names would seem to indicate that it's uncommon for a person to be notable enough to have the primary article.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by MartinRe (talkcontribs) 18:48, 24 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

If there's only one other Steve Sidwell and it's obvious if you arrive at the article about the footballer instead of the musician why change anything? JoeWiki 14:40, 19 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Recently I've heard Sidwell being linked to bigger clubs in the summer such as Arsenal, Utd and of course Chelsea. With his success at Reading and being just 23, I think his future prospects are bright enough to qualify ahead of any other Sidwell. To put it in footballing terms: "There's only one Steve Sidwell". 2016 goal for Brighton edit

This was his first goal for the club in 14 years. Wonder if that is a record for the gap between consecutive goals for a team in professional football. Is it worth noting it in the article anyway? Martyn Smith (talk) 18:59, 25 January 2018 (UTC)Reply
