I'll review this article over the next few days. As it's a long one, about an active politician at that, I'm treading carefully, and will review this section by section.

Just noticed your note on Aaron's talk page. I can hold off doing the review for a little while and extend my normal hold deadline given the circumstances. Wizardman Operation Big Bear 13:36, 29 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
Appreciate it. Not sure what will constitute "normal" in terms of Wikipedia time after this major life event. (My daughter was born this afternoon!) I do plan to be off work for a while, so maybe I'll have time to respond to your comments next week sometime. Acdixon (talk contribs count) 03:33, 30 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
No problem. I'm usually strict on the one-week hold thing, but I'll just review it and you can just get to it when you get to it. Unless I find some major problem that requires a fail I'll just put it on hold indefintely. Wizardman Operation Big Bear 21:54, 31 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
  • The only issues I saw were more FA-type fixes than anything against the GA criteria, so I'm going to pass this article. Nice work. Wizardman Operation Big Bear 05:23, 9 November 2010 (UTC)Reply
Thanks, Wizardman. What a great time for me to get a "clean slate" GA review. Now, if I can just get back to that John Y. Brown, Jr. review, I'll finally have my Kentucky Governors good topic! Acdixon (talk contribs count) 17:33, 9 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Early life edit

Early political career edit

  • Partially done, no issues yet. Wizardman Operation Big Bear 03:28, 8 November 2010 (UTC)Reply
  • No issues. I do find it odd though (and I've probably said this to you before) that the governor and lieutenant governor ran separately. Sounds like something that would've been fazed out in the 19th century. The only issue that might arise at an FAC would be "The commission was hailed by some as the most substantial undertaking by a lieutenant governor to date, but was panned by others as a move by Beshear to better position himself for a run for governor in 1987." I know that some people are iffy about the "by some" type sentences in articles, but personally I don't think it would be beneficial to just add names or organizations for the heck of it. • Yeah, it is a little odd for them to run separately, but this was not changed in Kentucky until 1992. Acdixon (talk contribs count) 17:33, 9 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Political interim edit

2007 gubernatorial campaign edit

  • "On December 18, 2007, Beshear announced that he would enter the 2007 gubernatorial race". I went and changed this to 2006; would seem kinda silly to enter a race after it was over.
  • No issues beyond that. However, "Late in the campaign, eight of Kentucky's leading newspapers endorsed Beshear." You could also note how many endorsed Fletcher, though I would not require it. Wizardman Operation Big Bear 04:16, 9 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Governorship edit

  • "As of August 2010, the case was still in adjudication." double-check to make sure there's no further updates. Same with any other "as of" notes. No further issues. Wizardman Operation Big Bear 05:22, 9 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

2011 gubernatorial campaign edit

No issues, though check to see if there are any new updates now that the midterm elections are over. Wizardman Operation Big Bear 04:17, 9 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Misc. edit

Images look fine. References look fine; not used to that formatting but there's nothing noticeably wrong with it. Wizardman Operation Big Bear 03:49, 26 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
