You won't really find anywhere in literature where someone is described as a "Macedonian (ethnic group)"; it's awkward phrasing. What the source doesn't say is Bulgarian, Torbeš, or Gorani. Note that Slav Macedonians redirects to Macedonians (ethnic group). --Local herotalk20:31, 12 September 2015 (UTC)Reply
@Local hero: Slav Macedonian means Macedonian of Slavic origin.Macedonians of Slavic origin includes Bulgars,Macedonians (ethnic group),Torbesh,Gorani. So stop your unbased claims as Elsie doesn't say Macedonians (ethnic group).Rolandi+ (talk) 13:52, 19 September 2015 (UTC)Reply
Why on earth should we suppose that a capasity like Elsie is being imprecise, or alternatively that he does not grasp the English language? Some grammar for you: "Macedonian" is used as a noun. "Slav", or rather "(Slav)", is used as an adjective. An adjective is used to explain or specify the noun. In this case it says Slav Macedonian as opposed to non-Slav Macedonian (which could be Ancient Macedonians or here probably Greek Macedonians). The use of parenthesis underlines the fact that this is an explanation of what kind of Macedonians we are talking about. Your statement that Macedonians of Slavic origing includes Bulgars (I suppose you mean Bulgarians), is just rubbish. When Elsie says Macedonian (as a noun), we have no reason to believe that he means anything else than Macedonian. --T*U (talk) 09:31, 20 September 2015 (UTC)Reply
