editWhy does my category keep getting removed? Malkmus himself told an interviewer that his family is German! Also, why can't he be in the list of people from Stockton? He grew up there, so why can't that be? Ryolong or whatever the hell his name is deleted my hard work for no good reason. Stocktonca
We need some more personal information on this page. Who is he married to? Doesn't he have a cool relationship with his father? I remember there being stuff on his website about how Steve Sr. introduces Malkmus whenever he comes to a show. There's also an article in Index Magazine by Pete Cobus (http://www.indexmagazine.com/interviews/stephen_malkmus.shtml) that discusses his love for public-course golf games with his dad.
Someone needs to update the Silver Jews discography. There are more albums than that.
Wasn't pavement from Stockton?--Jeffauxier 05:39, 29 August 2006 (UTC)
This guy is so freaking awesome.
Reference is needed for the statement that he was kicked out of the band during the Natural Bridge recording sessions. And I think the brevity of the Silver Jews discography is because it's only listing the once Malkmus played on.
"When Stephen Jr. was 8, the family moved north to Stockton,[3] where he attended Carpinteria's Cate School..." -- How? How did he live in Stockton, but attend school in Carpinteria, which is 360 miles away? Did he commute ten hours (five hours each way) or did he fly there every day? 14:02, 15 May 2018 (UTC)
Face The Truth
editI don't know if I'd consider FTT to be a solo album, the details stated miss the fact that on the back of the album it says "and the Jicks" Even though they aren't on the front side, it still says their name, so would it be a solo album? Kbhoyt 19:01, 2 December 2007 (UTC)
Cleanup
editWow, this needs a lot of cleaning up. I'm fixing the discography right now (including adding the new album) but the whole biography could really use a revamp. Just a heads up, haha. Wantsarevolution (talk) 06:44, 5 December 2007 (UTC)
I'm not sure about the appropriateness of the Interviews section and the compilations, unreleased, and miscellaneous Discography sections. This seems like it belongs more on a fan site than an encyclopedia article. Thoughts? Wantsarevolution (talk) 07:07, 5 December 2007 (UTC)

Pavement whitewash?
editI’m sure Malkmus would like his current work to rise above the past, but two or three sentences on one of the most influential indie bands of the 90s is insane. Whether SM wants it or not, Pavement is still a huge connection for most people. More needs to be added on their output. Johnny "ThunderPeel2001" Walker (talk) 02:19, 19 April 2019 (UTC)
