A professor of mine once mentioned that "Stephen Hero" was burned in a fit of frustration, and subsequently rescued by Nora. Does anybody have sources for this, perchance? If correct, that claim would contradict the text of this article:
Only a portion survives; the rest was burned by the author after a domestic dispute
Indeed, the domestic element would be responsible for the saving, rather than the burning, of the original manuscript of "Stephen Hero."
I'm sure somebody out there must have heard of this particular rendition of events? :-)
