Aircraft "lightness" edit
Aircraft are in fact becoming lighter in the technical sense, since they are slightly reducing the effect of gravity by increasing their altitude. However, the amount by which they become lighter is not what is contributing to the ability to increase their cruising speed, that is almost entirely due to the atmospheric conditions (density of the air, wind, etc). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 37.205.56.234 (talk) 07:38, 8 July 2017 (UTC)
