Origins of the term "Moving Group"

Just keeping it as a note, due to not having a precise answer. Olin Eggen introduced the term in the 1960's, according to this paper, thanks, CarpD 6/11/07.

Minor changes

I've changed the URL in ref. 7 as it changed on the American Scientist site. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Evgeny Kurbatov (talkcontribs) 09:24, 13 January 2009 (UTC)

Dissimilarity

I suspect that moving groups is not the same thing as stellar association. Maybe they actually are, but it might actually be a dimension difference, detection method difference, or the one is a subset of the other... Then the list of moving groups is a badly placed sample of stellar associations. ... said: Rursus (bork²) 08:28, 15 April 2009 (UTC)
