Talk:Stelephant Colbert

Latest comment: 12 years ago by 65.92.98.29

I don't think this is nonesense, this is an actual elephant seal who was on the Steven Colbert show and is an important part of spreading word about marine conservation. I think that it's good to have animals like this on wikipedia so people can learn more about the ocean in new and exciting ways. He's kind of like the shamu of seaworld but for TOPP. He brings awareness of the ocean but not in a boring sciency way and I think it's a good article to have up.

Greetings, nameless. I do not know much about elephant seal, is that the same as Walrus ? Marine Conservation where ? in the Arctic ? I got an email from Sister Bernadette, about the Emperor Penqiuns, you send me your email address and I will send you the video. In the mean time I will send the video to sales@latech.com.sg (four tildes)65.92.98.29 (talk) 02:24, 16 August 2011 (UTC) 15 August 2011 10:25 p,m.Reply

Moved redirect edit

I have moved this redirect, I think completely non controversially, to Tagging_of_Pacific_Predators#Stelephant_Colbert. I know the outcome of Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Stelephant Colbert was redirect to Stephen Colbert (character), but it seems completely obvious that anyone specifically typing in "Stelephant Colbert" would be looking for information on the seal, which the Tagging_of_Pacific_Predators provides, including a complete explanation of how the seal came to be so named, providing all the necessary links to the Stephen Colbert (character) article. If anyone types "Stelephant Colbert"' and gets simply redirected to Stephen Colbert (character), they are going to be none the wiser as to why they got redirected as nothing in that article's text explains the backstory. Having the redirect this way serves the purpose of providing the reader information about what they are looking for, which is in the end what Wikipedia is for.
