I have a Steiff animal whose tag has "MOTTENECHT DURCH BAYER" AND "LEVERKUSEN" and a hand with fingers spread, sort of in a STOP gesture. There's a word across the hand which I can't read. Is this an attempt by the Steiff company to stop moth-resistant chemicals by Bayer to be used on the cloth used to make the stuffed toys? Does anyone know when this was, or what the real story is?71.235.156.9404:52, 7 December 2006 (UTC)Reply
