Hi. I'm Calvin999 and I am reviewing this nomination.  — Calvin999 18:20, 20 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

  • I would write "James II of England" the first time in the lead.
  • and (formerly) holding a baton. → The statue used to hold a baton? You write "depicts" earlier on, so it suggests present tense, but it no longer holds one.
  • as Allan Cunningham put it. → as described by Allan Cunningham.
  • The statue of James II is one of three of Stuart monarchs commissioned by the royal servant Tobias Rustat from Grinling Gibbons's workshop in the 1670s and '80s, the others being of James's brother and predecessor Charles II: an equestrian statue in Windsor Castle and a standing figure at the Royal Hospital in Chelsea. → Who was the third monarch?
  • Link Palace of Whitehall in the History section.
  • at a reported cost of £300. → It's probably not feasible, or even necessary, but a 2015 price equivalent in todays rate would be great to know.
  • Isn't there a cost parameter that exists for info boxes?
  • Shouldn't forte have an acute accent above the e? (é)
  • the statue's principal author → author doesn't read write, try 'sculptor' perhaps? But you use that a few words after. Maybe not then. But author doesn't read right.
  • I chose it to avoid repeating "sculptor". I've changed it to "originator". There's some question about what role Quellinus played, as the actual work of creating the statue seems to have been done by others, possibly working from his designs. Prioryman (talk) 21:27, 20 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
  • I take it that's a block quote in the middle? It doesn't show up as one because of the image. Try using the coding for the block quote like in the controversy section of "Man Down"'s music video.
  • Is the Pebble Court the same as the Privy Garden?
  • Your reference use the American date format. Of course, it should be British format.
  • You only mention bronze in the lead and info box, not the main sections.
Outcome

On hold for 7 days.  — Calvin999 18:36, 20 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
