POV problems edit

This article was written by one of the developers of the project (which is not a problem) except that it also reads like a press release.

I have added a POV warning template - hopefully this will bring the problem to the attention of other editors.--Commander Keane 23:17, 6 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

Commander Keane, you are correct that this was written by one of the project developers. Please advise on specific ways to improve the article. --kmote 08:27, March 16 2006 (PST)

Or better yet, improve the article so it reads more like something out of an encyclopedia. 203.122.192.233 10:57, 23 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Since the original NPOV dispute was raised 2 years ago in 2006 and since the entry was significantly edited by another author in 2007 I propose that the NPOV template be removed from the entry. --Tdills (talk) 19:41, 24 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

object to speedy deletion edit

Substantial edits made by other than the original author. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mayalld (talkcontribs) 15:10, 20 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

De-spamming edit

There were so many spammy edits made that it was a G11 deletion; on re-consideration, I restored the pre-spammer version, but it's still a smidgen promotional. --Orange Mike | Talk 00:39, 5 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

RE - promotional aspect. Reference to a third party publication with neutral assessment of the product would help.

File:Starlight visualization software .jpg Nominated for speedy Deletion edit

An image used in this article, File:Starlight visualization software .jpg, has been nominated for speedy deletion at Wikimedia Commons for the following reason: Copyright violations
What should I do?

Don't panic; deletions can take a little longer at Commons than they do on Wikipedia. This gives you an opportunity to contest the deletion (although please review Commons guidelines before doing so). The best way to contest this form of deletion is by posting on the image talk page.

  • If the image is non-free then you may need to upload it to Wikipedia (Commons does not allow fair use)
  • If the image isn't freely licensed and there is no fair use rationale then it cannot be uploaded or used.
  • If the image has already been deleted you may want to try Commons Undeletion Request
