RIP, Pete Puma
Sad to hear of Stan's passing, he was a great talent and will be missed.
Infobox image caption
Since when have image captions, even in info boxes, ever started with lower case letters? Thanks. Martinevans123 (talk) 20:58, 10 April 2015 (UTC)
- For at least 10 years, when appplicable. BMK (talk) 21:11, 10 April 2015 (UTC)
- If it makes it easier for you, think of it as a sentence in two parts, the one above the image, and the one below, so it reads "Stan Freberg at the San Diego Comic Con". BMK (talk) 21:13, 10 April 2015 (UTC)
- As for the editor who tried to drop Freberg's name into the caption again, we have the very large bolded name of the article, his name in bold typin in the lede sentence, and his name in bold above the photograph. There's absolutely no need to identify who the image is of, which is generally the case unless there's another person in it. BMK (talk) 21:16, 10 April 2015 (UTC)
- Well maybe I'll be able to grasp that, I think, given 10 years or so. But how do we know when it's "applicable"? Why aren't all info box captions like this? To me it just looks inconsistent and somehow hopelessly amateurish. Martinevans123 (talk) 21:20, 10 April 2015 (UTC)
- (edit conflict) Eh, true. It's not a matter of right vs. wrong, but the visual impact is odd, as it stands. Whatever, I care this much. Happy editing! 78.26 (spin me / revolutions) 21:23, 10 April 2015 (UTC)

- Lower case does not look good in this case. "Freberg at the.." appears to be a better version than "at the..."--☾Loriendrew☽ ☏(ring-ring) 22:07, 10 April 2015 (UTC)
- What Martin said. Hopelessly amateurish. The Rambling Man (talk) 07:29, 11 April 2015 (UTC)
- Agree with the comments above. We should take no account of advice from other editors that "if it makes it easier" readers should "think of it as" something different to how it appears.. Ghmyrtle (talk) 08:53, 11 April 2015 (UTC)
Blacklisted references
I just found a reference proving Stan was on The Monkees episode "Monkees vs. Machine," but I found out the link was blacklisted for spam. I couldn't even post the link here to show anybody what it is. I suppose I can try to find others. -------User:DanTD (talk) 13:16, 11 April 2015 (UTC)
Just add an overall template
There's a lot of citation missing in sections and two more sources templates in two sections. Would it be better to add a more sources template in the lead which states that the whole article needs more sources for verification? --TDKR Chicago 101 (talk) 21:17, 5 August 2015 (UTC)
Federal Budget Review
I have been attempting to de-orphan Federal Budget Review. Federal Budget Review is one of the oldest orphaned articles on wikipedia. I think including the Federal Budget Review in this article would be the best way to de-orphan it. I'm having two problems. One, it's difficult to find reliable sources. The best I can find are old local newspaper articles from 1980. Two, the basic information in the Federal Budget Review article appears to be inaccurate. I've noticed the special listed as "Federal Budget Revue" elsewhere and I've seen mentions to the special as early as 1980, two years before the wikipedia article says it aired. If Federal Budget Review is not significant enough to mention here, then it maybe a good candidate for deletion. Any help de-orphaning the FBR article would be appreciated. Middle name
His middle name of Victor has been reverted here with the explanation "no middle name in birth record". That is true. However, other public records - the 1940 US Census, 1945 Army enlistment records, and 1959 California marriage records - show him as Stanley V. Friberg. (I access these primary public records via Ancestry.com, but other sources are available.) Do any good secondary sources confirming a middle name exist? Ghmyrtle (talk) 08:57, 22 September 2015 (UTC)
