Talk:St Oswald's Church, Lower Peover

Architectural style(s) edit

I have today altered the description of the church's architectural style to idiosyncratic from Gothic on the grounds that the church is a timber framed building which whilst dating from the period when Gothic is the only style being used, is in practice sufficiently different not to really wear the designation accurately. Certainly this conforms to the material offered to visitors in the church, which I visited yesterday, which similarly declines to accept a specific architectural style. That's fair enough but the tower is certainly Gothic. There's room for both in the info box. Peter I. Vardy (talk) 15:53, 18 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
