Some deletions edit

The church was the second only to the collegiate chuch (now the Cathedral) in the city centre, and must have looked very impressive - as indeed it still does today

replace with: The church was an impressive building. Although it stood between the market and the Collegiate church, both steeples could be seen, from all directions

It is believed that Sir Christopher Wren was involved in its design. Delete - who believes this?

was designed and made by the famous William Peckitt of York.

replace with: was designed by William Peckitt of York

The Mosleys were the lords of the manor of Manchester and in 1693 the manor fell to Lady Anne Bland

replace with The Mosleys were the lords of the manor of Manchester and in 1693 the manor was inherited by Lady Anne Bland

I cant see any other difficulties apart from a few problems with added commas. There haven't been any discussion here before, so i will just make the changes. If you are unhappy with the changes make a revert and explain why, please. :-) Your friend Michael West Mike33 22:12, 24 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

Rivalry with Collegiate Church etc edit

There is some interesting stuff in this source but I've already made a mess of something here today and am really not in the mood. Perhaps someone else might like to pick it up. - Sitush (talk) 15:25, 25 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

Between the marketand the collegiate church? edit

"The church was an impressive building and although it stood between the market and the collegiate church, both towers could be seen from all directions" what is this sentence supposed to mean? First of all, it's not true as the market was in Market Place just next to the Old Shambles between the two churches and secondly, what does the postion of the market have to do with the view of the church towers anyway? As it's not referenced I intend to remove it unless anyone has any objections. Richerman (talk) 23:17, 27 August 2017 (UTC)Reply
