Murals inside the pier depict the construction/reconstruction of the facilities over the years. I wonder if pictures of these murals are online. Would be worth adding a URL if they are. Lots42 (talk) 16:42, 7 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

The Lens/Pier Park photos

edit

If someone can find a picture for reuse or reuse with modification from an author, I suggest we could put a picture of both piers in the Lens and Pier Park section or at the least the Lens picture since that pier isn't being built and I couldn't find any reuse pictures. If anyone can help that would be great for this Article! Thank you! Adog104 (talk) 20:47, 12 September 2015 (UTC)Adog104Reply

Material relating to the park currently being constructed at the former location of the St. Pete Pier should be its own article. It can be made a stub for the time being with expansion as the park is completed. – TheGridExe (talk) 14:47, 31 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

Further to add: it looks like there might be enough sources to make it possible. – TheGridExe (talk) 18:06, 6 July 2018 (UTC)Reply
TheGridExe; I would agree. I would like to also keep adding onto this article and any further down the road if that is of appeal. Although I don't know if the information being edited is too specific, or if its just needs reworking. Feedback would be appreciated or any corrections!. If anyone has access to articles relating to the pier from the St. Petersburg Times (Tampa Bay Times) or the Evening Independent it would help out massively with the history section instead of using the book sources heavily! Adog104 Talk to me 02:02, 22 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

Naming rights?

Who, how much, how long? Wikipietime (talk) 08:36, 7 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

@Wikipietime: I'm assuming this is in regards to the "St. Pete Pier" moniker, Tampa Bay Business Journal or Tampa Bay Times is the most likely official source for its name. The United States Patent and Trademark Office may tell you either in 2017 or 2019 for commercial use. Either way its the cities branding of the pier, at what cost is unknown besides the cost of signage that was put up around the pier. I think a better question is when was the name "Pier Park" dropped in favor of the "St. Pete Pier". Adog (TalkCont) 04:50, 8 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
