Brief commentary
editIs this fish named after the island or the actual saint? And does anyone have any information on the describer Carmichael? He's not in our List of zoologists by author abbreviation and I'd add him but all I can find is a first initial, D. He was ostensibly active in the south Atlantic and Indian Oceans, as his name is appended to several Antarctic fish. I am assuming he is not the same Carmichael who painted Erebus and Terror in the 1840s. -- Miwa * talk * contribs ^_^ 17:34, 29 April 2006 (UTC)
