His name is Alan Armstong. Alan Scott was the original Green Lantern.

From what I gather, Spy Smasher lapsed into public domain before DC Comics got around to licensing and later purchasing the character. AC Comics have been reprinting his Golden Age adventures ever since they got into reprinting Golden Age comics. A cursory search of the copyright office's official website failed to turn up any mention of Spy Smasher being owned by anyone (the Spy Smasher serial, on the other hand, is another story altogether). So, I am adding a public domian character category unless someone can prove that Spy Smasher hasn't lapsed into public domain --Strannik 22:55, 4 October 2006 (UTC)Reply
