Expanding the article edit
We need to expand the article in the following areas
- Participation - this includes participation by children and adults of all ages in informal or formal sports related activities. School, or college sports can be included. Traditional akhara and regular gyms can come under participation. There isn't much on squash,volleyball, basketball etc. or on a number of indigenous children's games such as vitti dandu or gotya. This can be rectified.
- Spectators -Maharashtra has a number of stadiums for different sports. The attendance for specific sports can be included. Spectators can also include people watching say an English premier league football game on TV.
- Awards - such as Shiv Chhatrapati Award
