regarding the composition of this material edit

The first paragraph states that it contains SD Alcohol 35A which is (about) 95% ethanol and 5% ethyl acetate. The second paragraph states instead that it contains isopropyl alcohol. Perhaps different brands contain different alcohols? In any case this should be cleaned up and maybe have references to back up the claims. 192.102.11.41 (talk) 17:45, 27 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

regarding competitive options for affixing stagecraft prosthetics edit

A decent competitive list describing relative risk factors or decision points about which to use. Especially apt as it seems to be a site about stagecraft rather than having any vested interest in which product to use. http://www.horrorseek.com/home/halloween/wolfstone/Costumes/adhpro_ProstheticAdhesive.html

I note that the page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liquid_latex is marked as in need of immediate attention, probably because its data comes from few enough sources as to appear to be original research or lacking citation.

  • The above link could aid that page also
  • These two pages, and possibly other small affix-prosthetic stagecraft pages, could potentially be merged if all are this anemic, and give an opportunity for an encyclopedic enough entry on the practice of using prosthetic face-parts or other skin-parts in stagecraft.

regarding usage of the product and behavior of product while in use edit

Very minimal tips provided, probably sufficient as a reminder to the already-practiced user, or as a tip of the iceberg to introduce tactics. http://www.funfolly.com/h/mutips.htm

Explicit steps and behavior of spirit gum from a power user of the product, regarding affixing a false moustache. The article is in anecdotal style but extremely detailed including warnings of "gotchas", misbehaviors to avoid. http://anactorsnotebook.blogspot.com/2009/10/horror-known-as-spirit-gum.html

Mixed level of detail but site seems to hope it is enough to teach the correct tactics. Also has a podcast, which a subject expert should review for accuracy. http://www.learnmakeupeffects.com/sticky-situations-the-zen-of-prosthetic-adhesives-removers/ -- Starshine (not logged in) 173.36.240.174 (talk) 17:46, 30 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
