this companie's name should be updated

Scan?

That's an interesting photo - but is it the same Spiegel here? Should we bolster the details on its bankruptcy. I may revisit this.

Born in Abenheim?!

Joseph was perhaps born in (shown here) Worms, Germany exact in de:Worms-Abenheim (not Abendheim) son of a jewish rabbi.--StromBer (talk) 11:58, 8 April 2010 (UTC)

This article reads like a press release and lacks objectivity towards the business failings of the original Spiegel catalog company.DoctorQ9 04:51, 21 December 2012 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by DoctorQ9 (talkcontribs)

The primary author of this article has an IP address affiliated with Artemiss, LLC [1], the owner of Spiegel.[2] The article also reads like an advertisement for Spiegel and should be revised. Calliopejen1 (talk) 00:16, 9 January 2014 (UTC)

The page is freely editable to anyone on the internet, and I welcome contributors, being the author myself. Spiegel Catalog is a significant piece of US history related to technology, print media, advertising and economics, as it was a billion dollar industry from the 1940's to the early 2000's. I'm not a trained wikipedia editor, but I do the best I can. Please advise how you would like to make this less advertorial? All information listed is accurate, to the best of my knowledge, and written as much as possible without bias intended.

Artemiss LLC no longer exists and was the the BDA for Spiegel, LLC. Spiegel has since retaken it's name as of late 2012-2013 and restored it's credit and business standing, which can be found on Dun & Bradstreet as a 4 out of 5 and a complete listing of business records and problems related to their bankruptcies can be found on the BBB. The addition of this to wikipedia was meant to speak to Spiegel's rich history and adaptability to survive after 149 years of business, nothing more. Any and all help to clean it up is appreciated.

Please feel free to add your information listed on Lynn Tilton and Signature Styles. 2604:2000:14C0:6078:3615:9EFF:FE8B:A7DC (talk) 23:54, 8 May 2014 (UTC)
