Ok, so I think my edit is mostly uncontroversial grammar, but I changed two things that I'm not entirely sure about. First, among the forces embarked on the fleet was the phrase "a public safety sting" which I changed to "police contingent", figuring that public safety=police, sting=a unit. The sentence on the bombardment is followed by "once struck the pirate's resistance, the assault was launched.". I figured that what was meant was a description of the effects of the bombardment on the pirates, so I changed it to "lowered the morale of the pirates" or words to that effect. However, I think it's possible that the intended meaning was "struck their colors", i.e., surrendered. I'll check the sources to find out for sure. Second edit is again, mostly grammar (I suspect the author of this page was a native Spanish speaker). However, two references to "scales" confused me. My best guess, and the one I used, is that scales means grappling hooks or similar devices. Howicus (talk) 20:50, 5 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

Also, a sentence read that the Spanish took cannons "into" a fort, which makes no sense seeing that the forts were later destroyed. I chagned that to took cannons "at" the fort. Howicus (talk) 20:53, 5 February 2013 (UTC)Reply
