This first sentence seems a bit... grating?

Perhaps not insulting peoples' intelligences would be a better path to walk.

Shouldn't this article be called something like Spaghetti tree hoax, since it's more about the spoof report than about the "fictitious tree"? --Damiens.rf 23:30, 10 June 2008 (UTC)

No, don't tell anyone, but the hoax is a hoax: Spaghetti does grow on trees in southern Switzerland. Semolina flour is nothing but dried, powdered and bagged spaghetti strands. It's all done, you see, to keep the makers of pasta machines in business :) Gwen Gale (talk) 12:18, 12 September 2008 (UTC)
