Misc edit

I've pulled together a basic stub article from the very limited sources available. This must be the most obscure science fiction series ever made. Joe King 21:26, 16 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Well, it might actually rival "Home Boys in Outer Space." I've been groping in the dark for a while to find an intriguing series I saw a few episodes of, a few years ago. This might be it? This space station was in the future, but not too distant future; the science and technology seemed almost plausible nowadays.
This huge space station--apparently there was some huge owning company on Earth, and there was a certain tension between the ship crew and the company, almost a Big Brother Watching kind of thing.
There was a sort of burly engineer, an American. In one episode he was sure he smelled smoke, and as he hurried to investigate, he had a stroke. It seemed that his smelling smoke was a result of the stroke coming on.
And I remember a certain amount of senuality, and even outright nudity. In one episode, a man they rescued from a wrecked space ship spent quite a bit of time sitting around talking to one or two women members of the crew, all the time, quite naked (with strategic camera angles).
Am I thinking of the right series? 140.147.160.78 18:02, 12 March 2007 (UTC)Stephen KoscieszaReply
Perhaps. I recall a doctor telling a female patient (presumably played by Indra Ové (professionally unethically but in a dramatic license sense quite understandably) "God, you're beautiful"), and a plot whose eventual denouement revolved around the precise serial number of a radioactive substance, hyphen included. Which sounds like this show, which I saw by happenstance on PBS, but I haven't been able to find the sources from which to build a episode guide. Which sounds like a worthy Wikipedia challenge... kencf0618 (talk) 22:51, 15 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

Great concept edit

This show had potential like nothing I've seen hidden away on some obscure channel and had the awesome vibe of the 90s. The lighting, the acting, the script, the graphics were intelligent and logical and beautiful 90s style and

awesome to look at. it clearly copies the atmosphere and characters of the movie Trapped In Space TV movie 1995, which is awesome 94.109.115.114 (talk) 15:18, 15 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

Episode 14 of Season 1 edit

A few sources including Epguides list an episode 14, "08 Apr 98 - Edge of Night" - This is also referenced in https://sharetv.com/shows/space_island_one_uk/episodes/562164 -- Anyone know anything about it? Lawrie (talk) 06:52, 23 April 2022 (UTC)Reply

I agree that your two cited sources indicate the first season had 14 episodes, but it is feasible that the 14th episode might have been produced but did not broadcast on 08-Apr-1998 when it was scheduled. That may be a source of confusion. The non-EpGuides source has "n/a" for the airdate.

It is more disturbing that a canonical source like IMDb does not include that 14th episode "Edge of Night", at this URL: https://m.imdb.com/title/tt0172058/episodes/?season=1

I was considering buying the "complete series" from a seller who claims to have all 27 episodes on DVD (that's what brought me here), at this URL: https://buxxxxy-ioffer.ecrater.com/p/40359009/space-island-one-complete-series

I think we should add that 14th episode to season 1, and change all the "26" to "27" ... but our "proof" is still weak. If I had the episode on DVD in front of me, I would not hesitate. James Rodriguez 11:41, 27 December 2022 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jrodor (talkcontribs)
