New crew list edit

100th Soyuz mission ? edit

I'm wrong in counting or this is the 100th Soyuz launched in space since the Soyuz 1 of the 60s? Best regards from Italy dott.Piergiorgio 00:47, 23 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

You might want to take a look at Soyuz programme#Soyuz manned flights.... Are there any flights that should be added to that list? Regards, (sdsds - talk) 06:56, 23 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Unconfirmed edit

  • Why is Ko San unconfirmed ?Hektor 15:41, 30 October 2007 (UTC)Reply
I added the caveat because as with all spaceflight participants, they are unconfirmed nearly right up until the launch, and at the time there was no confirmation via Reliable sources. I think I've found a source, and can add that to the article. But, an example is Enomoto, who was replaced after the final medical examination. I do think it should be stated as "scheduled" until quite close, due to how those things can change. ArielGold 15:51, 30 October 2007 (UTC)Reply
Well you know just anybody can have a medical condition or any other kind of crippling accident just before the flight, this is not only true for spaceflight participants. That's why there are back-up crew. Hektor 18:34, 30 October 2007 (UTC)Reply
Yes, as there are now sources, I've removed it and added the refs ;) ArielGold 18:38, 30 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Chauvinism edit

Is it really necessary to propagate the chauvinistic statements of Mr Perminov. Hektor (talk) 20:07, 24 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Perminov is not some random schmo, he is the head of the RKA. Immediately after the landing, he decided that the cause was the number of women on board and clearly and repeatedly said so to reporters. The comments are certainly noteworthy, particularly in the context of the statement that this was the first time women have outnumbered men aboard a multi-person spacecraft. Rillian (talk) 22:13, 24 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

This is not chauvinism, it's mere stupidity on Mr Perminov's part. I would even go so far as to say that further employment of Russian reentry modules poses a certain threat to the astronauts' lives, considering the fact Soyuz TMA-11 flew hatch first (burn damage could have destroyed the hatch). STSNews edit

The owner of the patch image IS NOT the Russian Federation: It is copyrighted by Alex Panchenko a exceptional ukranian artist who lives in California. I made the artwork based on his design, and sent it to SPACEFACTS. So it is clear that the "owner" of the image is not the Russian Federation.
