Link to RC Locomotiv
editThe link to the Moscow Locomativ club is a link to the 'rugby league' club, not a RU club. Quite possibly, this is the same club? The RRFL was formed in 1990/91, which seems to coincide with the conclusion of the soveit cup and championship - perhaps hinting at RC Locomtivs move from union to league following the 1990 season? - But this can not be totaly true as moscow locomotiv where playing rugby league at least as early as 87.
What is difficult is that many sporting clubs, especialy the various brands of football (soccer, ru and rl) share similar names such as: Spartak, Magicians, Locomotiv & Dinamo all having representatives in the three games just mentioned.
Someone who knows more about Soviet RU should correct this.
- According to RC Lokomotiv Moscow, they switched from RU to RL in 1991, so it's the same club. Conscious 07:21, 16 October 2006 (UTC)
- That's correct. Anyway, currently I don't think there's a lot mix-up of clubs in association, RU and RL. There's no Spartak neither in RU nor in RL. Most of this happens between association and RL (Dinamo and Lokomotiv play in both).
