Are the two pictures of the dark morph skuas certainly South Polar and not Brown? If so, it would be ironic, since the picture of the intermediate (I think) morph South Polar (identified as such in the filename) is also included in the Brown Skua article. Though my bird identification skills may be somewhat inadequate with species from the other side of the globe. The distinct streaking and powerful build would have me guessing at Brown. --Anshelm '77 (talk) 19:40, 3 November 2008 (UTC)

I could be wrong but I would say the image in the Brown Skua taxobox is a South Polar. Aviceda talk 03:01, 4 November 2008 (UTC)

Shouldn't it actually be South Polar skua (with S and P capitalized as in South Pole)? I find this usage in Lande et al. (2002), "Estimating density dependence from population time series using demographic theory and life-history data", AmNat. Q·L·1968 ☿ 20:12, 26 January 2016 (UTC)
