Maps edit

The map for SL needs to be updated. With the addition of the park on the south end of the city, part of the city now extends to 8 Mile Road and the border with Washtenaw Co.

Which park? The city's southernmost boundary is 9 Mile. I can't think of any park that hits 8 Mile, until you've crossed the Lyon Twp. / Novi border. Do you have a reference? Kevin 21:31, 8 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Volunteer Park extends south to 8 Mile Road. See this map:

wrestlenovi's contributions edit

I moved the school section to its own section, the school part ate up most of the page. -wrestlenovi

I also moved the thing about the trash disposal in the business section - it had little to do with the importance of south lyon... Wrestlenovi 18:50, 23 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

September 1, 2006 cleanup edit

I've made several changes to this page.

The most obvious change is striking the heading about the Hotel entirely. Having it as a unique heading is pretty borderline as far as Wikipedia format goes, but what triggered the deletion is that it is a violation of copyright. The content was pulled directly from http://southlyonhotel.com/history.html.

However, since the Hotel is fairly important to South Lyon, I included a note in the Businesses category. In the same category, I removed the description of what seamless tubing is and replaced "seamless tube" with a link to Tubing (material).

Finally, I removed the links to the Hotel and SLHS CC team from External Links, as they are not relevant to the main article. Kevin 06:54, 1 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Pumpkinfest edit

Someone edited the Pumpkinfest section to state that it is the only annual festival in South Lyon. I've reverted this somewhat, as Depot Days is a festival as well. I also remember a street festival where Pontiac Trail / Lafayette was closed between the Hotel and Liberty St., and 10 Mile / Lake was closed between the theater and Washington St. I'm not sure if they do that anymore, though.
