editBefore someone asks, I'm happy for this to be renamed International cricket in South Africa (1982 to 1990) (or similar), making it consistent with International cricket in South Africa (1971 to 1981). I'm in two minds about that, so feel free to do so if you have a POV. -- User:Moondyne 01:29, 17 November 2005 (UTC)
Football/Soccer - Rebel tour to South Africa
editThere was also a rebel football tour to South Africa in the 1980's. It is hard to find information about it online but should it be mentioned on here, or is this just a Cricket related article??? 77.100.142.47 22:55, 19 August 2007 (UTC)
West Indies
editI'm fairly certain that there was a West Indian rebel tour to SA in the mid 80's but I can't find any details. -- User:Moondyne 01:30, 17 November 2005 (UTC)
Searchlight article
editIf anyone has time, it would be good to incorporate some information from this article about the murky business of arranging the tours, and the personal benefits accrued to those who participated in them, with their tax bills being paid off by the South African state. 86.136.94.95 17:47, 21 August 2006 (UTC)
Geoff Boycott describes the organisation of the 1982 tour in his autobiography. Unfortunately I don't have access to a copyKuifjeenbobbie 15:18, 18 June 2007 (UTC)
Thought
editI think that as this article is expanded that it would prove just to be an overarching article regarding the tours with separate articles for each of the tours. What do people think? --Roisterer (talk) 06:08, 9 January 2009 (UTC)
