Fair use rationale for Image:Soulonice.jpg edit
Image:Soulonice.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. A Travesty edit
This is absurd. Soul on Ice should obviously be the article on Cleaver's book, which we shamefully don't have. This article should be moved to Soul on Ice (album). john k (talk) 02:16, 14 August 2008 (UTC)
- Until there are two (or more) articles on subjects with the name "Soul on Ice", it's a moot point. If you create the book article, we'll have something to talk about: which, if either, does Soul on Ice default to or if it goes right to a disamb page. - Mdsummermsw (talk) 13:22, 14 August 2008 (UTC)
- The creation of an article on the book (which I am not particularly well-equipped to do) is being inhibited by the placement of this article. For instance, any link to "Soul on Ice" that is intended for the book will show up blue, leading anyone not paying close attention to assume there is already an article there. At the very least, Soul on Ice should be a disamb page, at least until an article on the book is created. And this is true whether or not the article on the book is ever created - it's a very famous book, and Ras Kass is not a particularly well known rapper (he also named the album for the book). john k (talk) 05:01, 15 August 2008 (UTC)
