- Yeah, I noticed that the Contra Costa Times, no longer seems to have this posted and I can't seem to find a cache of it anywhere. The link did of course work back in June when i wrote the article. The CCT article was a general piece about Farrell, not this specific song. Any suggestions for a replacement? -MrFizyx 18:30, 11 September 2006 (UTC)
- I replaced it with a link to a Kevin Farrell site, {WRONG GUY, SEE BELOW}
though that doesn't offer much info at the moment. If someone want's to pursue more info on him there is also a page at http://www.myspace.com/ktkf,Farrell may or may not meet WP:MUSIC, but I feel that this song is clearly notable, just not for the usual reasons. Please Verify Sources edit
Neither this link * Website for Kevin Farrell nor the myspace link leads to the songwriter Kevin "Blackie" Farrell, who wrote this song. These links lead to some indie rock poseur from England who only happens to be named Kevin Farrell. Is it too much to ask that you actually read and verify your source material before you post it?

- Sorry about that. Seems I was duped, the links I was finding didn't seem to offer much information, and I had hoped something was better than nothing. I'm no expert on "Blackie" Farrell, just trying to give people somewhere to go to learn about this great song. Thanks for finding a copy of the original story that I had posted. - Here is yet another place to find the CCT article (keep in mind if the current link dies). Also, Farrell (the correct one) performs on a Bill Kirchen recording which includes a couple Farrell tunes, and a little stroy about the two of them. There are also of course, bits of information on Farrell in the Dave Alvin references. -MrFizyx 16:38, 13 September 2006 (UTC)
