Aright, peoples. If you have issues, talk to your shrink. Please refrain from posting tirades on Wikipedia.

I just removed the following text from the main article. Any food project admin types, if you see it pop back in, please be sure it's removed promptly.

Curiously, most of the guests that frequent Sonny's either do not know how to tip or simply refuse to tip well. It is quite common for a server at the restaurant to recieve numerous one or two dollar tips, regardless of the service they provide. At other establishments, customers usually leave gratuity that is commeasurate to the amount spent (15 percent of the check total is standard). In fact, in other casual dining chains, guests commonly tip well above that. However, this is not so at Sonny's. Getting a decent tip from a Sonny's customer is a lot like trying to pry some redneck's rifle from his cold, dead hand. It is so bad that servers who manage to extract a meager five dollar tip from a table feel like they have just hit the jackpot.

For the more severely impaired out there; ten bucks tip on a one-hundred dollar check is not a great tip, five bucks on a sixty dollar tab is heinous and one dollar on anything is an insult to your server. I am sure I will echo the sentiments of most professional servers when I say "please, keep your damn dollar and just pay your check"! If you do not have money to tip do not go out to eat! I understand that the economy is bad and gas prices are high, but people who wait tables have to buy gas and food too. They have children who they are trying to raise, and they count on tips to maintain what (in many cases) is a very basic lifestyle. On the other hand, the swamp-jumpers who eat at sonny's continue to tip less and less because it takes 200 bucks to gas up their SUV now instead of $175.

Sonny's simply caters to the lowest common denominator; The faux riche who come in to act like big-shots and throw out forty bucks on BBQ for their brood, with no intention to tip well at all. For the fine customers of sonny's BBQ tipping is an inconvienience, this is supported by the tiny amounts they leave. Saying that these people are simply ignorant of tipping protocol is a really lame excuse. Sonny's guests aren't ignorant; they're cheap, uncultured, and obtuse, and unworthy of good service. For those select few of you who reward your servers at Sonny's, please disregard the previous comments, the rest of you know who you are.

In summation, I know that some half-wit out there will call corporate and complain, or perhaps try to sponsor some sort of half-ass boycott, but YOU customers created this angst. You refuse to tip. Do every server, in every sonny's a favor; either start tipping better, or stay home and eat. Sonny's real pit BB-Q in no way endorses or otherwise condones these views. Sonny's is a great place with a lot of good, hard-working people who deserve to be rewarded for their dedication, loyalty, perseverance and diligence.
