editTo cite, or not to cite
At this point the frequency of phonons approaches zero.
No citation needed. That's bloody obvious. You don't need a citation for 1+1=2[citation needed] either, do you? smurfix (talk) 14:37, 29 November 2013 (UTC)
- It's certainly not obvious to me, and I have a degree in physics. Some sort of explanation or citation would be a good idea. Modest Genius talk 12:14, 4 November 2015 (UTC)
Brownian motion as source for fluid viscosity dependant randomness?
editThe sentence "Nearly any fluid can be used to create an acoustic event horizon, but the viscosity of most fluids creates random motion[citation needed] that makes features like Hawking radiation nearly impossible to detect." "Is marked citation needed for "Source says only that "viscosity which introduces terms that cannot be moulded in the relativistic form described earlier"" Perhaps the sentence could be clarified to describe more why viscosity would play a roll, also Brownian motion is the only form of liquid based randomness I know of, perhaps a source could be cited from that subject?
