The assertion is made that "In the 1996 book Various Positions, Cohen biographer Ira Nadel confirms that many of the songs were from an earlier period, with "Joan of Arc" having been written at the Chelsea in New York".

Surely no-one refers to Chelsea as "the Chelsea". Is it not far more likely that the wikitext should be "having been written at the Chelsea in Manhattan"? Harfarhs (talk) 05:15, 30 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
