This is the "First Division" not "Somalia League"
editThis is the "First Division" not "Somalia League". AcidSnow (talk) 22:51, 26 June 2014 (UTC)
- @AcidSnow: If that's the case why don't you make the changes yourself? You seem to know a bit about this league. Davykamanzi → talk • contribs • alter ego 06:27, 20 July 2014 (UTC)
- My apologize Davykamanzi, I never noticed your message. Anyways, this specific tournament is the Serie A/First Division. However, this and the rest (Serie B/Second Division and Serie C/Third Division) are all part of the Somali/Champion League. Though I am not sure as to what to rename all of these exactly. Other than this article the rest were created recently. I currently suggest that we rename all the articles by their division (Somali First Division and so on). I would prefer Serie A, Serie B, and Serie C, but they all already link to the respective Italian tournaments; these are what the Somali games are based off of. What do you think? How about you Middayexpress. AcidSnow (talk) 15:53, 16 May 2015 (UTC)
- Yes, this appears to be the First Division of the Somalia League. Assuming "First Division", "Second Division", "Third Division" are the officials names for the divisions, the pages should be titled accordingly. "First Division (Somalia)", "Second Division (Somalia)" and "Third Division (Somalia)" would perhaps work better. Middayexpress (talk) 16:05, 16 May 2015 (UTC)
- Fifa calls it the "SFF First Division", so that's probably the official name [1]. Middayexpress (talk) 16:08, 16 May 2015 (UTC)
- This group is called both "Serie A" and the "First Division" by the Somali Football Federation (this is what "SFF" stands for). You may notice that I am using an "Archive" link, this is because when I load the normal page it just freezes while an archive link from early May still works. - "First Division" and "Serie A" do seem interchangeable. I think we should go with the "First Division" format for the titles since that is what the SFF and FIFA apparently indicate. The "Serie" format can be noted in first sentence as an alternative official name. Middayexpress (talk) 16:37, 16 May 2015 (UTC)

Established
editIt seems that this tournament might have been established much earlier than I perviously thought. According to Rsssf, one of the teams (Alba) was founded in 1911. AcidSnow (talk) 17:32, 16 May 2015 (UTC)
