Copyvio?
editThis is taken from the P2p foundation website. license issue? --80.63.213.182 17:05, 19 September 2006 (UTC)
- Technically no, but I think it's tremendously bad practice to simply lift a large block of text from another wiki, CC-Attrib-NC-Share or otherwise. Accordingly, I am going to replace the copied text with a limited summary thereof. --Falcon Darkstar Kirtaran (talk) 02:38, 3 August 2008 (UTC)
- In so doing, I noticed that most of the section had nothing to do with the topic, and as a consequence, the section is now extremely short. --Falcon Darkstar Kirtaran (talk) 02:56, 3 August 2008 (UTC)
California?
editWhy the Cali tag? --Arkeides 02:37, 4 November 2006 (UTC)
- Removed the Cali tag, no clear reason for it.
Removing memetics category
editI am removing the memetics category from this article since you learn no more about the article's contents from the category and v.v. Since so many things may be memes we should try to keep the category closely defined in order to remain useful. Hope you're okay with that. The link to meme would be enough I suggest. NPoV
editI think I've cleaned up the NPoV issues. If anyone doesn't think so, they can add the tag again and point out the issues here in order to facilitate discussion. --Falcon Darkstar Kirtaran (talk) 03:10, 3 August 2008 (UTC)
How does Solipsis handle objects?
editSo the article doesn't really explain how user-created objects are handled. http://p2pfoundation.net/Solipsis says:
"The world is initially empty and only users will fill it by creating and running entities. No pre-existing cities, inhabitants nor scenario to respect... "
Does that mean users can't create persistent objects in such a virtual world?
For example I wondered if Outerra (at least theoretically) could make use of this concept (not sure if one could already call it a technology?): in it people probably will be able to create cities / locations which can be viewed by other users if they visit the respective location in the game.
It would be nice if someone could explain it and update the article with that info.
