Talk:Solanum mauritianum

This article is totally contradictory re whether the plant is poisonous or not. Para one says "Watt & Brandwijk state that horses, domestic chickens and all birds eat the fruit with impunity, and further state that no records of poisoning in children exist."

but under toxicity it says: "All parts of the Solanum mauritianum plant are poisonous to humans, especially the berries.[2] Human fatalities have resulted from the consumption of the berries."

Someone has to be wrong!

Registered toxic weed in the state of NSW (Australia) edit

This is a registered toxic weed, which means that landholders are legally obliged to remove it from their properties once they know it grows there.
