Deprecation

As of Windows 8.1, Microsoft has deprecated IBSS (Ad Hoc) and SoftAP functionality in a shift away from the Native WLAN interface. Microsoft recommends migrating to Wi-Fi Direct in the Universal Windows Driver Model ^[1]
