I based this article on the 1988 Northwestern University Press edition. If you have more information about the later editions, or from them, please add it! Also, the synopsis is a bit thin and condensed, so add to or change that as you wish. I have a copy of this story called Ol'ga Petrovna (Ольга Петровна), anyone knows the difference? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.184.8.204 (talk) 07:45, August 27, 2007 (UTC)

According to an afterword (written by the author) in the same edition various translators changed characters' names, including Olga Petrovna. It should be essentially the same text, but the character's (and the novel's) original name is Sofia Petrovna. Bill Lava (talk) 19:14, 6 April 2009 (UTC)Reply
