Merger proposal edit
I propose that the section on sodium bromite in bromous acid be merged with this article, with images and sources moved to this main article, leaving a much smaller summary section at the article regarding the acid, focusing on the salt's preparation from the acid, and other aspects regarding the salt that shed light on the acid from which it derives. (That is, while there can be some duplication of content, the richness of material about the salt should be with the main article, and not in a section in another article.) 98.206.31.187 (talk) 18:01, 1 February 2024 (UTC)
- Oppose; the content isn't really about Sodium bromite, but about Bromous acid as an intermediate in the Belousov–Zhabotinsky reaction; I've adjusted the headings to reflect that. I know that this makes the merge template placement a little odd, but hopefully it makes the structure clearer otherwise. Klbrain (talk) 12:16, 27 April 2024 (UTC)
