I suggest too change the title. 'Physical Exploration' does not do justice to 'Natuurkundig Onderzoek'. Onderzoek is best translated as 'research'. That is covers both field exploration and lab analysis, which the society both financed. 'Natuurkundig'is late 20-century dutch for 'Physical', but early 20-century dutch for natural science as a whole. Botany, zoology, chemistry, ethnology: it covered everything.
