Notes

Everything in this article was relevant to the topic and it was very organized. There were no distractions, which made it very easy to understand overall. This article does seem to be neutral over the topic because it mentions both the criticisms and benefits of Social Media in Education. From what I read, it was not heavily biased towards any position and it was very informative. There were a couple of parts in the benefits section of the article which were underrepresented, and there was also a part that needed a citation as well. A few of the citations that I checked did work and were used correctly. The sources also supported the claims in the article effectively. Most of the facts were sourced with a reliable reference. The information was from neutral and official websites and sources that used surveys and studies over the topic. However, the fact that a citation was missing did weaken the credibility of that particular part of the article. Most of the information is fairly up to date, but there could be some modifications because the information has most likely changed over time. If more recent facts and evidence was added it would strengthen this article and add credibility. On the talk page there doesn't seem to be any conversations going on. The talk page shows that the article was rated low/mid-importance on the quality scale. It is a part of five different wikipedia projects including: computing, education, media, sociology, and culture. This article discusses this topic different than we do in class because it uses more facts and goes into more detail about what many different sources are saying about the topic as well. Would eliminating social media in education ultimately benefit or drawback students abilities to perform better in school? (Felicsmith (talk) 07:07, 8 February 2018 (UTC))

Aldorath (talk) 09:34, 17 July 2018 (UTC) How would people feel about my adding a section on "use of social media by school teachers"? There is significant research on this theme, with a recent review of the literature by Macia and Garcia shows that there are over 77 quality studies about how teachers use social media in preparing for teaching, particularly for emotional and peer support. I'm quite new to this editing process - should I just go ahead and write the change using references throughout?
