Party name? edit

Is there any reason the name the party uses in translation (concord) is not used for the article?--Goldsztajn (talk) 12:27, 14 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

Can't imagine. "Concord" is a better translation anyway. Rename the article?

English language scholarly sources have used the named "Harmony", e.g. example 1, example 2,example 3, example 4, even if it appears not to have been the translation used by the party itself.--Autospark (talk) 21:20, 3 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
I support the current translation, even though I find inverted commas a little bit awkward. --Checco (talk) 20:14, 4 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

Can this really be considered a centre-left party? edit

"It is the main catch-all party of the centre-left in Latvian politics."

That statement in the article has no source.

In fact, later on, it is clarified that:

"On social policy, the party contains strong conservative elements in line with its voter base and setting it apart from the contemporary European social-democratic mainstream.[10][11]"

So it's not exactly centre-left, if it has strong conservative elements.

It's main defining feature, based on sources, should be the following:

""Harmony" is the largest party seeking to represent the Russian-speaking population of Latvia."

Looks like this article needs some work.

Sounds like to me this party is a right-wing party for the Russian-speaking population of Latvia. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rudolfensis (talkcontribs) 20:22, 30 September 2018 (UTC)Reply
